Noodles & Vegetables, CHOP SUEY style Variations may include Tofu, Chicken or Beef For 4 servings
200gr. noodles 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce ¼ cup Soy Sauce 2-3 cloves of Garlic 1 teaspoon sliced fresh Ginger ½ Cabbage, thinly sliced 2 Spring Onions – thinly sliced ½ Red Pepper – thinly sliced 1 Medium Carrot – sliced as thin sticks ½ a cup Willi Food canned mushroom pieces 5 kernels of Willi Food Young Baby Corn – sliced to coins
Sauce: ¾ cup Young Baby Corn water 2 tablespoons Cornflour (starch) 4 teaspoons Soy Sauce 4 teaspoons Sugar
Before Serving: 1 tablespoon of Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon fried sesame or Sliced fresh Corriander Preparation: Cook the noodles for 3 minutes in boiling water with some salt. Rinse in cold water and leave to cool for a few minutes. Mix into the noodles 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Mix the Sauce ingredients in a little bowl. In a large frying pan, heat some oil, and stir fry all vegetables with Sauce for 3 minutes. Add the sauce from the bowl and cook another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens. Serve in a large bowl, the noodles, on top of them the vegetables and Garnish with some Sesame oil and sesame seeds or fresh Corriander. Noodles can be prepared with a variety of vegetables, caramelized Cashew nuts, peanuts or walnuts. |
